London Luton Airport – Park and Fly Service
One of several Terrapin buildings at London Luton Airport was part of the airport’s car parking redevelopment, supervised by architects, Burks Green. The contract was negotiated under a leasing agreement, saving capital investment for other airport expansion projects.
Terrapin handed over the single storey structure within 10 weeks from completion of foundations. The 393 sq m floor area provides a reception area for passengers to check in their cars for valet parking, and spacious, comfortable facilities to wait for a coach for transport to the main terminal.
Externally, an attractive canopy spans two elevations to provide cover for coaches and passengers while the building’s aluminium cladding is in silver and London Luton Airport blue. These colours are carried through to the high spec, hard wearing interior décor, with air conditioning helping to create a pleasant environment.
London Luton Airport were delighted with this latest building as they were with the previous contracts and Terrapin’s flexibility in meeting the requirements of both the Airport and the Airport’s clients.
